Demon Knights, one of the best series of the New 52 DC Comics

Demon Knights, comprised of Entrigan the Demon, Madame Xanadu, the Shining Knight, the Horse Woman, Al Jabr, Exoristos, and Vandal Savage, is one of the most exciting groups that DC has to offer. These characters meet in a Post Camelot World, three seem to be remnants of that world, Entrigan, Xanadu and the Shining Knight, while the new members  are from distinct cultures of the Medieval Period. Being a Medievalist in Graduate School, I am often intrigued by Medieval movies and tv series. I love Robin Hood and King Arthur and all the trappings these legends bring.

This version, is the DC Universe version.  If there has been any question whether Wonder Woman was going to be a major player in this universe, the question has been answered here.  One of the characters, Exoristos is a bonafide Amazon.  When we first meet her, she is defending Al Jabr, who has been refused service.  Although she is tough and very rough around the edges, she soon is accepted into the group.  They must save a city from the invading horde of the Questing Queen, which is hinted at being Lady Morgana because her partner is Modru, which according to Arthurian Legend is her son as well, EWWWWWWWW!!!!!  Anyway, Exoristos befriends a young woman whom she inspires.  The young woman gets killed for trying to be heroic which causes this Amazon to go unleashed and she hold off an entire army by herself.  I should also state, she has been injured by the Horsewoman previously, but that has not stopped her.  This is an awe inspiring moment for all fans of the Amazons.

Exoristos seems to be an exiled Amazon that comes from Paradise Island and it was confirmed by Modru tempting her.  When we first meet her, she claims she is from an Island that uses and kills men.  Where have we seen the confirmation of this?


Now the story is ongoing so I cannot give details of what will happen next because I do not know.
